----------------------------------------------------------------- My piece for  's 5th artpack. The theme was Ideology; I used "nothing is impossible" as mine. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This piece is dedicated to my girlfriend Carol. [edit 3.10.08] We broke up, but i'll leave this up anyway. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The top part was created from scratch using Photoshop CS2 and apophysis: I used textures from mayang, and rendered my own fractals for the phoenix. The bottom part was a photomanipulation/photomerge. There are about 10 different images that it's comprised of. (boat, flocks of birds, pagoda, clouds) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Stock sources: Sxc.hu Mayang.com And the original pagoda stock was in a stock pack; credits to whoever took the picture. Programs used: Photoshop CS2, Apophysis 2.05 Beta ----------------------------------------------------------------- For all those that couldnt spot the phoenix; [link] Daily DeviationGiven 2007-12-28Phoenix Striking the Sky by =Arctic-Affinity is a wonderful work that doesn't require the least bit of color to convey its emotion. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
